I can't remember the last movie I saw as packed with hard hitting action as THE RAID: REDEMPTION.
Twenty elite SWAT team members plan an early morning raid of a Jakarta drug lord's 30 story tenement building.
The tower serves as the crime boss's base of operations and is fortified on every floor with cameras and endless reinforcements of occupants very willing to help keep any kind of law enforcement out.
When one of the spotters raises the alarm on the SWAT team being inside and already positioned nearly a quarter of the way up the tower, nearly every person in the building rises up against the team.
What follows is over an hour of sustained action, bloody mayhem, endless hand-to-hand combat and about three movies worth of suspense, violence and thrills.
Director Gareth Evans is a Welsh born filmmaker working with an Indonesian cast & location and they knock it out of the park.
If you like your action flicks violent, fast, bloody and furious, run to this one.
Thanks Mark Hellner for recommending THE RAID. It's 90+minutes of flying fists, machetes, bullets, blood and all out action madness and an A!
