2012's PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 4 improves a bit on Part 3, as Katy and Hunter move into an upscale suburban neighborhood 5 years after their disappearance.
Teenage Alex (nicely played by Kathryn Newton) and her little brother Wyatt start to notice strange happenings as soon as Hunter (now called Robbie) begins hanging at their house.
The parents in these movies are always so oblivious it makes me laugh. At the point a huge knife would fall out of mid air and nearly in my head, I think I would have concerns about wandering off the bed, but not these folks!
There are some cool moments by directors Henry Joost & Ariel Schulman (Catfish) with video game mapping technology and levitations, shadows and noises of all sorts, but it really is more of the same.
If you love these movies, it's a bundle of what you love with some clever twists and better than #3. For me, it scares up a B.
